About me
I seek to create living art, featuring materials and systems that reflect individual style and taste.
The origins of my pedagogy are in India. I studied Architecture (B.Arch), from a deemed university Bangalore. From humble beginnings at a renowned design firm in the Garden City I was then assigned with leading large scale renovations for boutique hotels, residences, store designs.
Relocated to London and started working under the tutelage of Annie Stevens Design. Annie’s mentorship was invaluable, I thrived within the company and honed my design skills over the 10+ years I worked at the firm. I tested my passions and overcame my failures and loved every moment. Sadly, she passed away.
In 2013, I relocated to the Netherlands and the story of my tryst for all things design, continues. I started my boutique interior design company Studio VM and have consistently updated my ever expanding roster of talented craftspeople and suppliers who are knowledgeable and committed to their trade. My own design ethos is to always challenge my design sensibilities. My ever-evolving style, is defined by a subtle fusion of clean lines and neutral tones, deftly balanced with an opulent warmth.
